The three main wood/timber certification schemes of currency in Australia are:

Australian Forestry Certification Scheme
The Australian Forestry Certification Scheme (AFCS) encompasses the Australian Forestry Standard (AFS) AS 4708-2007 and the associated Chain of Custody Standard AS 4709-2008. The AFCS is managed by Australian Forestry Standard Ltd - a non-profit public company. AFS Limited is accredited by Accreditation Board for Standards Development Organisations (ABSDO as a standards development organisation.
 
Forest Stewardship Council
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international network to promote responsible management of the world's forests.
 
Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC) endorses responsibly forest management schemes around the world including the Australian Forestry Certification Scheme (AFCS)
